The Pelvic Tilt Test
Pelvic Tilt Test (Part 1/3)
In this video, I describe how to perform the pelvic tilt test that I learned a few years ago from the team at OnBaseU. Some key things to note...
Hands across shoulders, Only the pelvis moves, Imagine tipping a pitcher of water forward in front of you and then backward behind you, You pass if you can smoothly move your pelvis in both directions, starting with forward.
How The Pelvic Tilt Helps You To Throw Harder (Part 2/3)
Here I spend a few minutes showing you how vital the pelvic tilt is during the pitching delivery and how it is responsible for delivering energy through the middle of the body right before release.
Correcting The Pelvic Tilt (Part 3/3)
If you've struggled with the pelvic tilt, as almost all of our athletes have, we recommend the cat-cow movement. This can be performed at least 2 times a day with sets of 20 reps. In addition, continuing to strengthen the glutes and abdominals will aid in this movement.
